System Requirements

Because iTe is written in the four interpreted languages Emacs-lisp, PostScript, TEX and Perl, it is platform independent. All of the following required tools are preinstalled on many Unix systems, but are also available as binaries for both Unix and MS-Windows:

A TEX installation. Go to CTAN to get binaries and sources;
Emacs or XEmacs version 19 and higher;
dvips, the dvi to ps translator by www.radicaleye.com. This software normally comes with the TEX installation;
gs aka GhostScript, the postscript interpreter by Aladdin Enterprises;
Perl. Go to CPAN to get binaries and sources.

iTe was successfully tested on the following platforms:
